These are posted publicly in the hope that they may serve as an example for someone. I did pass my exam. I would say that the report could use significant refinement with regards to more clearly getting my point across. I believe that I improved upon that in my presentation.
I reviewed four different sets of slides and reports from my peers that had recently passed their QE at UC Davis in the Mech Eng department. I found it important to find someone doing work that is similar. By that I mean that they should be implementing generally the same methods for their work, i.e. modeling/controls as opposed to someone who is heavily experimental. Myself, for example, am in the experimental side of research, while many of my closest peers are in controls. Their reports, I found, were not the best format for me to follow. The one report that I reviewed that did follow an experimental approach seemed much more relevant. I say this only for any that look here for example. Keep in mind that there are many molds one may follow for their report and you should work to find the one that fits yours best.
